2010 Annual Fundraiser
The National Medal of Honor Museum of Military History held its annual Fund Raiser and Awards Banquet March 6, 2010, in the Roosevelt Room of the Chattanooga Choo Choo Hotel, Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Author John O’Malley of Birmingham, Alabama, was our guest speaker. He is the author of twelve books as well as a business consultant and motivational speaker. Mr. O’Malley’s latest book Men of Men: Stories of Courage is about Medal of Honor Recipients with ties to Alabama.
Additional banquet festivities included a brief awards ceremony for our volunteers, a "silent” auction, and drawings for several door prizes including gift certificates donated by local merchants. The event was open to the public.
Thanks to the continued support of the public, the Museum experienced significant success in 2009 that is being continued in 2010. Our Northgate exhibit continues to expand and be revitalized while artifact stabilization is near completion at the Archival Center in East Chattanooga. Your donations enable us to carry on critical preservation work as well as pursue 2010 and 2011 goals.
I am certain you will not want to miss our 2011 Annual Fund Raiser and Awards Banquet. Details of this event will be posted when they are known.
